Find out Why Spring is the Best Time to Buy a New Home in South Florida

Buying A New Home in Spring on the Treasure Coast

Posted on: April 16, 2019

Some will swear by the summer, while others will insist on cooler months. Still, others will claim that there is no perfect time to buy. In South Florida, we say that the best time is springtime! Aside from being one of the most beautiful times in Florida, there’s less people around and great deals on new homes that may not have sold during the high season.

The Weather Is Great

While winter has its wonders, it’s far easier to search for a home in springtime. Spring brings out the mild weather, making a home tour a pleasant day out. Blooming flowers and gentle sunlight accent every home in a wonderful way. Furthermore, home sellers are now seeing fewer visitors giving them more time to spend with perspective homebuyers.

Remaining Inventory

Many sellers hold their prices in place during the traditional high season, but when Spring arrives they are ready to make a deal. Just like getting ready for the new car season, any remaining inventory becomes a better value as homebuilders clear the deck for the next year’s models, that should be starting construction right now.

Less Taxes

Getting the tax return season behind us comes with a renewed spirit. For some, tax refunds supplement down payments for new homebuyers. For others, it’s a realization they are paying too much tax in their home state. With Florida’s favorable tax climate (no income tax) and the popular Florida’s homestead exemption, Florida is quickly becoming an address of choice.

If you are thinking about making the move to the Treasure Coast this Spring, there’s one community you definitely need to add to the short list. Rivella is a private, gated waterfront community by GroundStone Homes. It rests on the edge of the St. Lucie River where it comes together with the North Fork, offering residents easy access to all of the activities that come along with waterfront living – not to mention some stunning views. Community amenities include a pool and clubhouse, tennis, and walking trails meandering throughout the neighborhood, so residents can connect with nature. Your new home will be ideally located just a short drive to some of the area’s best golf, beaches and entertainment as well as dozens of historic sites, parks and museums where you’ll learn about the area’s rich history. In fact, the beach is a convenient drive via Jensen Beach Blvd to the pristine shores that connect us to the Atlantic Ocean.

Homes at Rivella will range in size from 2 to 6 bedrooms, and all homes will have either a preserve or estuary view. Select home sites are available directly on the river, some with an option for a private dock. Signature series homes start in the mid $300s, and Estate homes are priced from the mid $500s to over $1 million, with custom floor plan options.

Pre-construction purchasers get a free lakefront homesite upgrade for no additional charge prior to our model opening this summer. Limited opportunities are available for this one-of-a-kind offer. The Sales Office is open daily at 114 SE Via Lago, Port St. Lucie.
