Treasure Coast’s Top Dog Friendly Parks and Beaches

Dogs Running on Treasure Coast Beach

Posted on: March 8, 2019

Much of what we do, we do for our pups. We seek out businesses and towns that cater to dogs, buy them specialty food, and make sure that they live happy, healthy lives. Many towns are willing to cater to this pet obsession, but on the Treasure Coast, they take it a step further with dog-friendly beaches. They’re pretty good at it too – good enough that Coastal Living took note and put two Treasure Coast beaches on their list of “13 Best Dog-Friendly Beaches in Florida”. Whether you’re playing on the shore of Walton Rocks Beach or swimming at the Stuart Sandbar, you and your pooch are going to have the perfect day. Check it out below!

Stuart Sandbar

Located right by the St. Lucie Inlet, and only a short boat ride away from Sandsprit Park, this is the sandbar to see everyone – and every dog! Ride over on your boat, grab a few sticks, and spend the afternoon playing a game of fetch with your canine companion. You might spot animals jumping through the water, or your neighbors with their pets.

Walton Rocks Beach

Not even ten minutes north of the Jensen Beach Causeway lies a pooch paradise that pups and their owners can enjoy together! Over 24 acres of beachfront are available for dogs to run, swim, and play on, and for owners to play right along with them. Once you’re done splashing in the surf, stop by Publix on Ocean Boulevard to grab subs for lunch, or treat yourself to a pitaya bowl from Ital Bowls.

South Florida, especially the Treasure Coast, has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It’s only fair that your dog should share them with you. Dog-friendly beaches work to make this easier for you by setting aside special spots where dogs can get fresh water, wash off, run, swim, bark, and play leash free. Owners rave about how the Treasure Coast is one of the friendliest dog towns – get on board and see how you can give your dog the life that it deserves.

If you are thinking about making the move to a waterfront community, one hidden gem that you may want to check out is Rivella, on the Treasure Coast. This gated community by GroundStone Homes rests on the edge of the St. Lucie River where it comes together with the North Fork, offering residents easy access to all of the activities that come along with waterfront living – not to mention some stunning views. Community amenities include a pool and clubhouse, tennis, and walking trails meandering throughout the neighborhood, so residents can connect with nature. Your new home will be ideally located just a short drive to some of the area’s best golf, beaches and entertainment as well as dozens of historic sites, parks and museums where you’ll learn about the area’s rich history. In fact, the beach is a convenient drive via Jensen Beach Blvd to the pristine shores that connect us to the Atlantic Ocean.

Homes at Rivella will range in size from 2 to 6 bedrooms, and all homes will have either a preserve or estuary view. Select home sites are available directly on the river, some with an option for a private dock. Signature series homes start in the mid $300s, and Estate homes are priced from the mid $500s to over $1 million, with custom floor plan options.

For a limited time, Rivella is offering homebuyers a free waterfront upgrade on select floorplans, valued up to $25,000. For more information about Rivella, visit RivellaFL.com to register for community updates and events in the coming months, including our model grand opening in Summer 2019. We’ll send you a copy of our digital brochure highlighting our unique Florida waterfront lifestyle.
